Well it looks like posting «Only visible to my friends» doesn’t work at all for the fediVerse.
Probably as of now only inside WP-friends.

One post without mentions and one with mentions of friends a not friends profiles on mastodon and friendica set to «only visible to my friends» just vanished into nowhere.

I wonder if I can find them over here.
